The first season of You, released in December 2018 on Netflix, it was an event. But the second season, when many believed that the story had run out, repeated the success. And increased it. It was just when the actress joined Victoria Pedretti, putting himself in the shoes of Love Quinn, an aspiring chef and health guru. A woman who seems sweet and tender outside doors, but who is actually quite the opposite. His leading role next to the actor Penn Badgley, who makes Joe Goldberg, a serial killer, made this product one of the most valued in recent times, to the point that last year, days before the premiere of the third season, a fourth installment was announced for the second half of 2022.

With You, the Pedretti figure began to grow. Despite his young age -26 years old-, his journey in the entertainment industry is more than valuable. His debut was in sun, a short film that came to light in 2014, counting her as one of the protagonists. That same year he had the same preponderant role in Uncovering Eden.

At one point he decided to distance himself, to get away from the media exposure, from the big productions. He returned a few years later to be one of the main characters in The Haunting of Hill House. In 2019 she was summoned neither more nor less than by Quentin Tarantino for once upon a time in hollywood, movie they starred in Leonardo Dicaprio Y Brad Pitt.

But the leap to general consideration had him in You. “I love this character so much. It is interesting, complex, fun and charismatic, “he told the Mexican media L’official about a role that finds similarities with the one he did Bly Manor: there he also stood out for a role in which he must deal with his childhood problems. Throughout her career as an actress, Victoria followed a line: the darkest or most disturbing side of a person. And there, she admits to feeling comfortable. All this, inevitably, takes us to his childhood, to a stage of his life in which he did not have a good time.

Pedretti was born in Philadelphia, United States. She is the daughter of a dance teacher of whom she never spoke publicly. His father –Michael Pedretti– He is a university professor. In her childhood, she was diagnosed with attention deficit disorder (ADD) and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADD).

“When they told me, I was 6 or 7 years old.. They told me: ‘you may never be able to read and write well. You are going to have a high rate of incarceration and medical problems,'” he recalled in Glamor. At school, he had to deal with bullying. “It was so damaging to me at that age because of how I was defined,” she lamented.

The doctor who diagnosed her predicted how her development would be. “That just allowed other people to make assumptions and feel like they had the answers for something much more complex than ADD,” Pedretti said. His parents were warned that he would not be able to lead a healthy life, finish his studies in a timely manner, much less pursue a university career. As she grew older, and knowing much more than she had, Victoria set goals for herself. It was never in his head to lower his arms despite the fact that the forecasts were not the best.

“I looked at this condition labeling me and I said to myself, ‘No, that’s not me.’ I have ADD, severe ADD, whatever that means and it affects the way I live, the way I think, the way I process information, or not process it. But I think that saying you have ADD is a label that is more useful to those who treat you than to the people who suffer from it,” he explained.

“I think I always questioned that it would be something that just screwed me up because people weren’t particularly accommodating or understanding about it,” the artist commented. People tried to talk to me about my own brain and my own mind, all my life. I think that’s really destructive, but now I can see it.”

His statement about what he experienced in childhood caught the attention of the press, since Pedretti does not talk about his private life. Since it is not known who his mother is, beyond the fact that his profession was leaked, until his sentimental status is not known either. Without going any further, international media say that he would be in a relationship with Dylan Arnold, actor of You. At the moment, they are only revealed: there are no photos, and the actress evades the answer when asked about it.

Victoria maintained that she did want to talk about this part of her most intimate side to open a door to the possible help that other children and adolescents who are currently going through what she had to deal with can receive. “I need other young people who are struggling in school, or struggling with their emotions and feelings, know that it is fucking normal, that they are not deficient or defective”.

With a purpose in his life, he finished his studies and continued at the university, the one that the health professionals told him he would not be able to step on. After attending the Pennsbury High School in Fairless Hills, at age 19 he earned a bachelor’s degree in Fine arts. I study interpretation in the Carnegie Mellon School of Drama, in Pittsburgh. It was received and managed to forge this career that is already public knowledge. And without those labels that marked her so much a few years ago, and that hurt her so much.
