An angel leaves Miami: Adriana Lima sells her mansion in the ‘Billionaires’ Bunker’

Adriana Lima has wings and the world admires her for her beauty and also for her sympathy. The Brazilian model, one of the most famous former Victoria’s Secret angels, has just sell his mansion on the island of Indian Creek, in Miami Beach, for $40 million, in further proof that the Miami luxury real estate market keep going at full speed.

Lima bought in 2009, for $9 million, the property located on a two-acre lot in the “billionaires’ bunker”, as Indian Creek is known for the number of billionaires who reside on the nearly 300-acre island, which has just over 30 mansions with water views, super security, and an exclusive country club.

Lima, with a fortune of $95 million, has the singer as neighbors Julio Iglesias, who also owns several parcels on Indian Creek Island —and one of these was sold in 2020 for $30 million to Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner—and to various CEOs of Fortune 500 companies and investment funds.

The Hispanic television presenter in the United States was also a resident of the island Mario Kreutzberger “Don Francisco”, who sold his 7,236 square foot residence on a 1.2-acre property for $23.8 million in July of last year.

In addition to the land to Iglesias, Ivanka and Jared Kushner purchased a residence on a 1.3-acre parcel in Indian Creek, in July 2021, and they paid $24 million for it.

the nfl player Tom Brady and his wife, Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bündchen, bought a piece of land in Indian Creek for $17 million in 2020.

Adriana Lima’s mansion in Miami, will it also be demolished?

The buyer of the Lima mansion, a company based in the British Virgin Islands, paid $16 million more than Don Francisco and Ivanka and Kushner for a smaller residence (6,465 square feet), but on a larger two-acre lot.

Considering the breadth of space on such a coveted but small island, it is possible that the 1950s residence Lima sold follows the fate of many mansions in Miami Beach: demolition, to build one more in line with current standards.

Lima, 40, was the longest-running Victoria’s Secret Angel from 1999 to 2018. She has two daughters with former Serbian basketball player Marko Jarić, whom she divorced in 2016.

Simple, in shorts and loose shirts, it was not uncommon to see Lima walking along Miami Beach with her daughters, without looking like a celebrity who has been on so many fashion magazine covers, the last one in the January issue of Vogue Arabia.
