The Gossip Girl alum, 34, was joined by the Deadpool star, 45, at Monday’s incredibly glitzy Met Ball at the Metropolitan Museum of Arts in New York City.

The theme this time was “In America: A Fashion Anthology” and the dress code was “Golden Glamour,” with the beloved Hollywood couple co-hosting the annual event alongside Regina King and Lin-Manuel Miranda.

Regardless, Lively hit the red carpet in a rose gold Atelier Versace gown adorned with a sizable bow. And the highlight of the star-studded occasion was the moment Reynolds watched his wife’s eye-catching dress transform into a whole new ensemble when the bow was unfurled.

When attendees on the red carpet untied the aforementioned bow that the actress wore on her beautiful dress, the already extravagant outfit revealed a mostly turquoise cape with a matching turquoise train. And doting husband Reynolds was as stunned by the transformation as the viewers as he smiled and applauded his wife of nearly a decade.
