Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise can be defined as two of the most coveted actors of recent times. After the explosion of both in the nineties, where they became true idols of the masses, both interpreters have had similar careers, but not very related to each other in terms of roles.

Career and most outstanding awards

Pitt’s career in the world of cinema is characterized by all kinds of roles. Two of the greatest exponents of Hollywood in recent decades have coincided in few productions when choosing their roles. It all started in 1994 with ‘Interview with the Vampire’ by Neil Jordan, a film in which everything foreshadowed that the shooting would go smoothly due to the large cast of young and veteran actors who made up the film. However, Pitt was not very satisfied with the result of the film, even less with the shooting conditions: “I was miserable. Six months in the dark. Contact lenses, makeup, I’m playing the role of the slut *, “said the actor in the American media.

Pitt himself came to reconsider leaving the film in the middle of filming, however, the high figure of 40 million dollars that he had to pay for leaving the production aside was impossible to accept even for a star like him. For his part, Cruise never spoke negatively about the filming or production of ‘Interview with the Vampire’, but both actors did not coincide again in a film until many years later.

In other statements from Pitt to ET, the actor commented: “You have to understand that Tom and I are going in opposite directions. He is the north pole. I am the south. I always thought there was some kind of underlying competition between the two of us that prevented us from having a real conversation. It wasn’t something unpleasant, but it was something that was there and it bothered me a little bit,” he stated.

Everything seems to indicate that the relations between both stars are merely professional. On some occasions they have confirmed from both sides the interpretive talent of their professional colleague, even giving each other compliments, however, the filmography of Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt together is reduced to three works: ‘Interview with the vampire’, ‘Go Like Hell’ and the documentary ‘The magic of sound in the cinema’.
