Wendy Elizabeth Hernández Sánchez, 27, disappeared with her three children since last October 11 at noon, in the San Pedro Arenales canton of the municipality of Chinameca, San Miguel.
As explained by José Francisco Hernández, the woman’s father, that day she and the children got ready to leave and did not return. He assured that Wendy never mentioned to them that she had problems with someone in the canton or that she had received threats.
“She was grinding and then she told us that she was going to come, that she was only going to buy a soda at the store for lunch, in the store they say that she left passing through, and did not get to buy, that was around 12 o’clock. : 30 noon from there we don’t know anything about her, “Hernández said.
He stressed that Elizabeth is a single mother, and the day she left home she was wearing white pants; While the children Fabricio Javier, 10 years old and Steven, 7, wore shorts, and the girl Casandra Pamela, 3, wore a black lycra. Hernández does not remember the color of the shirts and blouses that his daughter and grandchildren were wearing.
He explained that they are a family with limited resources and because of this they doubt that the young woman has traveled to another country, as has been speculated, because they do not have the money to pay for a trip, so they fear that their daughter may be in danger.
“She never told us that she would travel or something, you see that one as a farmer does not fit for that, we are poor we cannot even leave the canton here because of the same poverty situation,” he said.
He explained that due to lack of money for bus tickets, he has not been able to file a complaint of the disappearance of his relatives with the National Civil Police or the Attorney General’s Office.
“At the moment we are only waiting for them to provide us with information, it would be good if people, if they have seen it, can communicate with us,” said Hernández.
Regarding the disappearance of the family, personnel from the Chinameca police post stated that they do not have a complaint about the case, as the father said, but that they have learned of the disappearance and have made inquiries with the Community Support Group (GCAP) assigned to the canton where the family resided, and that they were told that the young woman had problems with her mother and that was why she had decided to leave; although, the father denied this information.
