Sergio Mayer Mori only did “Rebelde” for money: “I needed to work”

Just a few days after the official continuation of Rebel (2004), Sergio Mayer Mori He confessed that he is not at all impressed with any issue that has to do with the series since despite being grateful for the opportunity, the reality is that He only agreed to participate to earn money and thus pay for the expenses of his daughter Mila.

“I didn’t feel any sensation with the uniform on. At first I was nervous, but with the help of my colleagues I began to gain confidence […] The premiere did not cause me nervousness, rather pity for the whole planet to see me act the way I act, “he said.

The also singer is again in the middle of a great controversy for what he has mentioned about the new musical project that the platform of Netflix streaming has considered one of its products with the highest budget in Mexico. In an interview for the magazine Who Mayer Mori assured that he was not impressed by the work he did nor has he created expectations of success:

“I’m going to be one hundred percent honest with you. I don’t want to sound indifferent or anything, but to I am not impressed by any issue that has to do with the series. With great pleasure and with great gratitude I did what I had to do, I did my job as an actor and everything, but other than that, there is no impression or expectation of anything because my priorities are different”He declared.

The actor also mentioned some of the reasons why he was encouraged to do the casting and enter a musical project that is based on the songs of RBD, even though he does not have a good past with the legendary Mexican pop band:

“When I stayed (in Rebel), I was very grateful that they gave me the opportunity, regardless of the name of the project, the important thing is that I have a job and that thanks to that, I was able to pay for my daughter’s school, I was able to give her her party and all that she was looking for “, mentioned the actor who gives life to Esteban Torres, male protagonist of the project.

For Sergio Mayer Mori, his little daughter is the most important thing, so the economic issue was essential: “I needed to work, because my daughter has just turned five years old, she is in school and she needs things […] that if ballet classes, that if the birthday party or whatever, and to be able to contribute financially, I looked for a casting, because I am not charging for my music yet ”, explained Mayer Mori, who became a father in 2018 together with Brazilian model Natália Subtil.

It is not the first time that the singer shows his indifference about the project or related topics, despite having starred in it. Months ago Mayer Mori confessed who hated to RBD and he only sang his songs by contract: “I hate RBD, that’s the reality […] I don’t like songs, I never saw the ‘thing’ this one ”.
