Days before the start of the trial in São Paulo for rape that began Thelma Fardin for an event that allegedly occurred in 2009 on a tour in Nicaragua by the strip Patito Feo, Luiz Antonio Nazareth, the actor’s lawyer in the neighboring country, talked about what his client’s strategy will be and what could happen to him.

“It has become clear that he is innocent. He is going to testify and plead not guilty, he is going to contradict the testimony of the witnesses who say they want to incriminate him ”, was the first thing the lawyer said in dialogue with Télam.

In the coming weeks they will testify before the judge Ali Mazloum about eleven witnesses, among whom are fellow cast members of the actors who went on the aforementioned tour, in addition to Calu Rivero and Anita Co, who will give testimony on Wednesday virtually, accompanied by their lawyer Raquel Hermida Leyenda.

Just as Fernando Burlando had advanced days ago in dialogue with LAM, Nazareth assured that the actor “he is calm and confident, with the pressure that comes with having to go to a court hearing ”. In addition, he was surprised to ensure that he does not know where his client is physically, since all his talks are remotely.

He rated the case as “Abnormal” because there was no test instruction as with any common case and explained: “The original accusation is in Nicaragua, a country that is a dictatorship, and he was there just that time, on the Ugly Duckling tour. But in Brazil the Public Ministry accepted the documentation of the complaint without having been able to investigate anything because nothing happened in Brazil and there was no investigation in Nicaragua ”.

When asked if Darthés could be extradited to Nicaragua, he was conclusive: “There is not the slightest chance. The crime is already being tried in Brazil ”. And on the terms of Justice, he said that he believes that the The sentence could come out in 2022, taking into account that they asked the judge for a deadline to present the pleadings in writing and that the judicial fair will begin in two weeks (from December 17 to January 6).

In case the Justice finds him guilty, the former Simona could have a penalty of between 6 and 12 years in prison for “VAggravated rape ”: “In case he is convicted, something we do not believe because there is no evidence or testimonies except for Thelma’s complaint, the minimum sentence would be 6 years, taking into account that he has no record and there they should see where he is serving the sentence, VIP prison, common prison or a semi-open regime, that is, free during the day but sleeping in prison ”.

Regarding the complainant, without mentioning her, he maintained that they do not have “nothing against her ”but linked the complaint to a“ search for promotion in the artistic world ”.

A few days ago in Los Angeles in the morning, his representative in Argentina, Fernando Burlando, spoke about how the actor was preparing for the trial: He is encouraged and wants to finish this stage, for the judgment to be made, this has altered Darthés’s life. It is not the same life as before the Thelma song ”..

Regarding his client’s plans once the trial is over, Burlando hinted that he would continue to live in Brazil: “I believe that he is installed there. There are many wounds involved as to risk saying what attitude he will take when this story ends, it is difficult because the whole family is there, which is very close”.

Some time ago, when the beginning of the trial seemed like a utopia, the actress had given an interview to Teleshow and when asked if she believed that Justice would be done, she replied: “It is difficult, up to here I have already left the rule, unfortunately I go to the statistics, because that is what I want to change, It is difficult to advance because the evidentiary standards are not up to the level of how this type of crime has to be investigated, because very few cases obtain Justice. In addition, in my case, there is the particularity of the difficulty of processing in Nicaragua and that Whom did I denounce took refuge in Brazil, I understand, it is good that countries have their intricacies to extradite a person. We live in this rule of law and we have to see how to get as close to justice as possible. given a greater advance than I imagined the day I took the plane to Nicaragua and I do not know to what extent the body will give me to pursue Justice … if I have to travel to Brazil, if I have to postpone my life in pursuit of keep moving forward, I am available ”.
