Official statement from the Palace of Monaco: ‘Prince Albert and his sons will visit Charlene this Christmas’

At the gates of Christmas the enigma of Princess Charlene is still on the table. A month has passed since Palacio announced that Prince Albert’s wife was retiring from public life to regain her health and then it was said that new details would be released before the end of the year. This has been the case, a new official statement from the Princely Palace assures that The Princess is recovering “in a satisfying and comforting way”, but it may take “a few more months” before she is fully restored to health. It also explains how the married couple and their children will spend Christmas. The sovereign’s wife, 43 years old, and mother of two children of the seven-year-old couple, is admitted of her own free will in a center of Europe, whose location has not been disclosed. Charlene returned to Monaco on November 8 after spending half a year in South Africa, her native country, affected by a serious throat, nose and ear infection.

In the official statement it is stated:

The convalescence of MSM Princess Charlene continues to be encouraging. The Princely Palace wishes to share the following information about her. The Princess is making a satisfactory and comforting recovery, although it may take a few more months before her health has fully recovered. Princess Charlene will be visited by MSM Prince Albert and his sons during the Christmas holidays. Once her health is strong enough, the Princess looks forward to spending time with the Monegasques. During this period of convalescence, the princely couple kindly requests that their privacy and family environment remain highly respected.

One month ago, the Prince announced that his sons would visit Charlene “as soon as possible” and now it has been known that The chosen date will be this Christmas. With this official statement it is deduced that the Princess has not returned to ‘La Roca’ since she left for her retirement, at the beginning of November, although she has spoken on some occasions such as last December 10 to congratulate their children, twins Jacques and Gabriella, on their birthday with some images made in the Palace in which only children appeared and a most moving message with which he broke his silence for the first time since it was announced that he was entering again. “Happy birthday my babies. Thank God for blessing me with such wonderful children. I am truly blessed. I love you, Mom,” she wrote next to the snapshots of the little ones in pajamas blowing out the candles on their cake. The intention is that when Charlene is strong enough she can return to Monaco.

Just two days ago, Charlene congratulated Christmas with an original postcard in which she appeared in a painting with her husband and two children. With a Christmas tree in the background and hugging the Prince, the Princess appeared in a golden dress. In addition, he congratulated everyone with the following words: “I wish everyone a nice and safe Holidays. With all my love.” This new image suggested the question of whether the monarch’s family would have posed together, which would mean that the Princess had returned to the Palace or if it was simply a recreation of the author of the canvas.

According to the statement, her voluntary retirement is doing very well for the Princess and progresses favorably from the physical and emotional fatigue caused by his serious infection and the three surgeries she had to face on the African continent that made it difficult for her to eat food with the consequent loss of weight. Even so, the convalescence of the Princess will extend throughout the year 2022. The one that was shown very optimistic about the disease was Charlene’s father who assured that he knows his daughter’s past as an athlete, that he knows whate is a strong woman and she will “get over this”.
